Temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to: headache sore throat flu toothache and the common cold and temporarily reduces fever. This drug is used to treat mild to moderate pain (from headaches menstrual periods toothaches backaches osteoarthritis or cold/flu aches and pains) and to reduce fever. Adults and teenagers at least 12 years old: Do not take more than 1000 milligrams (mg) at one time or more than 4000 mg in 24 hours.
